Before we get started – I am not a medical professional or a health coach. This is 100% my experience, which may or may not be relevant to you and your situation.
My hope is that this will help someone who experiences anxiety, but obviously, people have mental health issues or mood disorders for a whole host of different reasons, including trauma, so take it in like the rice strainer.
There are some nuggets of biz advice in here, but it’s mainly about shifts I made in my diet & my personal experience.
The path to healing
Feeling empowered around food & my health has been my most dramatic transformation in my life, honestly.
As a child, I had undiagnosed food allergies that fucked me up.
That led me on a journey toward understanding my body in new ways – and knowing how what I put in my body can impact my overall self.
I’ve had anxiety since I was young, too…
… but in the last 6 months, this has drastically changed for me.

For years I considered myself an anxious person - that’s how I labeled myself.
For me, anxiety feels like a sensation in my chest that’s often paired with so many worried thoughts.
I used to make it mean that something was wrong – “It’s an indicator that something is wrong in my life & I need to fix it.”
These days… it’s not even an emotion to me anymore.
It’s a physical sensation often caused by ingesting things that push me off balance.
My husband Eddy helped me see anxiety as something I can easily switch to excitement - I love using this as a tool for reframing the feelings of anxiety in my body.
AND this episode is more about the physical things to prevent that feeling in the first place.
I’m diving into what I shifted in my life that made a massive difference for my anxiety:
For one thing… Dr. Rose from recent podcast episode Building a Pleasurable Business turned me onto the book It's Not Always Depression by Hilary Jacobs Hendel, which opened up so many doors of understanding.
Then there’s the breathwork & energy work I do. Including energy management practices taught by Amanda Ranae and the Wim Hof Method.
Plus the dietary changes I made (don’t worry, I’m getting into them).
I’m also sharing what event spurred me to record this episode to begin with.
So, how did this transform my business?
👉 it healed my people pleasing tendencies with clients…
… which, in addition to improving my own quality of life, has helped me model strong boundaries for all my clients
👉 I released all the pressure I’d been putting on myself about making more, more, more money and needing quick growth… which I used to be SO anxious about.
Now, I’m content with business as it is, thinking about it as a 30 year relationship…
… because if I know I’m in it for the long haul, what’s the rush?
👉 My own emotional healing
The framework for emotional healing I’ve been building for years has been massively supportive…
Learning from mentors like Teal Swan and Luis Mojica have inspired me to slow down, go outside, and actually have FUN (like listening to erotic audiobooks instead of informational podcasts)
As CEO… I can’t overestimate the impact my own emotional healing has had on my business.
