Serena Hicks Business as a Magical Practice

As a business owner, you can not only choose to tap into your magic, but you have to, because you are making something out of nothing. Misfit magic is a type of magic that Serena sees often from people who are helpers, healers, and in service to the world. It's those people who feel a little different, like they don't belong, who have something valuable to contribute to the world.

One thing Serena encourages people to do in her coaching is recognize the things that make them feel like a misfit, and follow that path to find their deepest magic. That’s what you are meant to do in the world. Discovering what type of magic is inherent in you is going to help you grow your business in a way that feels perfect.

“Integrity is what allows businesses to boom and drive forward.” - Serena Hicks

What Big Happy Money means & why it's such a powerful concept for business owners, especially when they are just starting out. (11:08)

Serena Hicks Business as a Magical Practice

To Serena, Big Happy Money means she doesn’t just want to make money, and she doesn’t just want to get by. She wants a lot of money, and she wants to receive and spend money with integrity. With none of that icky feeling. A central component of this is the idea that what you put out into the world is what you get back. If you live in a scarcity mindset as a business owner, you attract people who don’t want to spend money to work with you.

“Intentionally spend with love and not shame.” - Serena Hicks

Serena Hicks Business as a Magical Practice

Serena said the biggest difference in her business now from when she started came when she decided that instead of complaining and naval gazing, she was going to commit to the belief that she already had enough information and innate talent to help someone. Someone, somewhere, could be supported by the information and hard-won information she had. Her business could be about service. After that, she started to make offers online and the clients came rolling in.

“I decided that instead of making it about me, I would start making it about helping at least one person and being of service in that way.” - Serena Hicks
