Here are some fun facts about him to give some context:
He was born on a sail boat
He dropped out of school as a preteen & lived off-grid on a small Hawaiian island for decades, teaching himself to hunt & farm for sustenance
He had a professional surf & kite surf career - being flown around the world for it - after being told repeatedly as a kid that “you can’t eat surf”
He’s been a full-time farmer & outdoorsman & waterman for 4 decades - spending 24/7 either in the ocean or the jungle or the farm/garden
Even without a high school diploma, he’s been a key note speaker, an educator in college classes, and more, on the topics of regenerative agriculture, aquaponics, bioremediation, and environmental stewardship.
